EVENTS

Pirate Formal is planned by our Quartermaster. It is our annual winter formal for Pirates and high-school Glynn County students. 

Swing Dance is planned by our Second Mate. It is an annual "back-to-school" bash/dance to kick off the new school year.

Pirate Picnic is planned by our Chaplain. It is an event to kick off our summer festivities, and an opportunity to get to know more about our new members. 

New members of Pirates of the Spanish Main, "Rats", plan an annual Fashion Show at the end of the summer. The show promotes local boutiques of the Golden Isles. A few of the "Rats" model selected and chosen pieces from each boutique in rounds. 

Crush is planned by our Logbook keeper. Crush is an annual dance traditionally known as our pre-rush event to meet potential new members prior recruitment. 

Spaghetti Supper is planned by our First Mate. The Supper is our annual fall fundraiser for Pirate Formal and fund donations to local charities.  

Last year, Helm rushees coordinated the Mr. Blackbeard pageant - a new but old tradition - and this year we are bringing it back for its second-annual show! The pageant is exclusively for Glynn County high-school boys to participate in. Mitch Weaver reigns as Mr. Blackbeard 2023! Stay tuned for who the new Mr. Blackbeard 2024 will be!
